Lian Duan has lived in the Pioneer Valley for 12 years. After obtaining a BA in Japanese language and culture, she worked as the secretary and interpreter to the head of the Sales Department at the Sichuan Toyota company. After moving to the US in 2003, she became a STEM educator. She taught in Maryland and Ohio before becoming a middle grades math/science teacher in one of the public schools in the Pioneer Valley, Massachusetts. After over a decade of educating young people, she brings her understanding of sales and marketing and good communication skills to bear when working with her real estate clients.
Lian Duan earned a BA in Japanese in China, and M.Ed. in learning technology education from UMass, and a part-time Ph.D. student at UMass. Her interest in communication, education, and technology in marketing and her training in both western and Chinese art give her a unique insight into finding the best properties and preparing properties for sale.
Lian Duan entered the Real Estate world to fulfill her interests in meeting and connecting people and helping friends seek lovely homes at the Pioneer Valley. She speaks three languages: Chinese ( native), English( professional), Japanese(conversational).
Lian Duan is married with two children. She has many interests, including outdoor activities, art, and music. She has a passion for social justice and is a proud member of the AAPI Alliance of Western MA.
